Mariam Castañeda, also known as "Tifah," is a Colombian actress, singer, voice-over artist, and telecommunications engineer. She was born on November 16, 1990, in Maicao, La Guajira. She developed an interest in the arts at a very young age. At 16, she left home to study telecommunications engineering at the University of Pamplona in Norte de Santander. At 21, after graduating with her engineering degree, she began her acting training at the Casa E acting school in Bogotá. She settled there and appeared in plays such as *Cartas a un joven poeta*, *Así que pasen 5 años*, *Querido público*, *Troyanas*, and *Uñas sucias*. She was part of a radio drama launched by Casa E titled *Hacia la libertad*, for which she also performed the theme song. In 2015, she began her television acting career with the series *Celia*, marking the start of her life in the audiovisual world—a path that would later include productions such as *Pambelé*, *La ley del corazón* (Season 1), *Crónicas de sábado* (Univision), *Tarde lo conocí*, *La mamá del 10*, *El gran Martín Elías*, *La reina del sur* (Season 2), *La venganza de Analía*, *Decisiones*, *La reina del flow* (Season 2), *La nieta elegida*, *Enfermeras*, *Te la dedico*, *Dejémonos de Vargas*, *Paraíso blanco*, *El abrazo que no te di*, *Cien años de soledad* (Season 1), and *Escupiré sobre sus tumbas*, among others. In 2025, she worked in film for the first time, playing the role of Yadira in the movie *Ornella*. She is also a voice actor and performs commercial and institutional voice-over work. She has written, produced, and directed two short films: *Milagro en la estación de Toberín* and *Lo que recuerda el olvido*. The latter won the "Historias del Cambio" (Stories of Change) call for entries in 2025. She is currently working on a new production for Caracol Channel, which means we will soon see her again on national television and online platforms. In the music realm, she has composed and released several singles, most notably "Prefiero quedarme" and "Si supieras."
