Athésia is a Canadian-born actor, singer-songwriter and radio presenter based in Sydney, Australia. She was born in Montréal, Québec, to Haitian parents. She made her screen debut in the short film Souvenir, written and directed by Renée Marie Petropoulos, which won a jury award at SXSW in 2026 and screened at the Sydney Film Festival the same year. She appears in the film alongside Tanzyn Crawford, Emily Grant, Julian Garner and Erika Ndibe. Alongside acting, Athésia works as a jazz singer-songwriter and broadcaster. She has presented and produced Jazz Around the World for ABC Jazz, a program featuring jazz musicians from around the world. Fluent in English and French, she also speaks Haitian Creole, with conversational Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese. She continues to work across film, television and audio formats.
